Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

St. Paul United Methodist Church, Fremont, California ("St. Paul," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through belongatstpaul.org and preschool.belongatstpaul.org, how we use it, and how to reach us with questions.

Information we collect

We only collect what you choose to share with us through our forms:

  • Contact Us — name, email, and your message
  • Prayer Request — name, your request, contact preferences, and optional email/phone
  • Update Your Info (church directory) — name, address, phone, email, and any comments
  • Schedule a Tour (preschool) — name, email, phone, and preferred visit time

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or website analytics on either site.

How we use it

We use this information only for the purpose you provided it — responding to your message, praying for your request in the way you asked, keeping our church directory current, or scheduling a preschool tour. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

Where it's stored

Our forms are handled through Google Forms and Netlify Forms. Submissions are stored in Google Sheets or the Netlify dashboard, accessible only to church and preschool staff who need it to respond. Google's and Netlify's own privacy policies also apply to how they process this data on our behalf.

Prayer request privacy

Our Prayer Request form lets you choose how your request is shared: kept strictly confidential with pastors only, shared with our prayer team, or shared publicly in the church bulletin. We honor whichever level you select.

Children's privacy

Our forms are intended for parents, guardians, and adult members — we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us at the email below and we will remove it.

Online giving

Donations are processed by Tithe.ly and Venmo. We never see or store your card, bank, or payment account details — those are handled entirely by those platforms under their own privacy and security practices.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the information you've submitted to us by contacting the church office. If you're located somewhere with specific data-privacy laws (such as California), those rights apply here as well.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our sites or ministries change. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.
